I always find myself being drawn back to Usborne for their children's literature. My children have spent countless hours browsing and learning thanks to Usborne.
One informational text I find to be a great resource for young readers is. "Look Inside Your Body." I give this book 3 out of 4 starts due to its great potential for introducing the most basic concepts about the human body to young readers while engaging readers in activity with flaps throughout the book that provide surprise facts. I would not recommend leaving very young readers unattended with this book lest they be tempted to pull off the flaps. Otherwise, pre-schoolers and up would find this book engaging, although they would most likely need to be read to, since the reading level does not seem to match the learning style concept of the books learning format.
